Cannabis Now Article Thrills Me for Days
OCTOBER 03
2017
I am not going to lie…I am excited for all of the amazing days to come. I woke up yesterday to see this absolutely beautifully written articie about…Me! My garden, filled with Spanish and Mendocino genetics was featured on the Cannabis Now website. I sure do hope it comes out in print also. There is something about the written word held in hand *fingers crossed.*
I am overjoyed also because I have worked hard to make a positive impact in the cannabis industry. I have only been over here for three years, but I am always eager to learn something and to boldly forge mutual beneficial partnerships both here and abroad. As I get ready for another trip to Spain (5 more days!!!), I am keenly aware that many eyes are on me and other movers and shakers of the community. Cannabis has been maligned for so very long, but the tide is turning. Those who are dedicated to sustainable and above board practices must be the leaders of tomorrow.
The author, Ellen, and the photographer, Gracie, visited my garden last year. As this year’s garden is significantly larger than last year, I am eager for them to see my growth; no pun intended. My plants, many near harvest, sway gently in the ever present wind. It is late morning and the rustle of the leaves is the dominant sound on this quiet, clear day. As Ellen and Gracie walk around the concentric circles of plants, marveling at the different hues and pungent aromas, I stand to the side and smile. I wonder how many other cannabis fairylands are located on the myriad of Oakland rooftops. Urban farming is the new trend. Cannabis forests on rooftops will be a revolution!
